Lubna Anjum Minhas
I am from District Poonch, Azad Kashmir, Pakistan, pursuing a Ph.D. in Plant Sciences with a major in phycology at the Plants and Algal Genetics Lab, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, Pakistan. My research is focused on the genetic characterizations of local algae, algal protein-based Nanocarriers, and targeted drug delivery systems against cancers using algal materials. I dedicate my research and professional achievements to my late father, Malik Hassan Muhammad. I aim to contribute to developing innovative and effective therapeutic interventions for cancers and novel bioremediation options for environmental pollutants by exploring indigenous algae.

I am from District Sudhanoti, Tehsil Trarkhal, Azad Jammu and Kashmir. I am a PhD scholar at the Department of Biotechnology University of Kotli Azad Jammu and Kashmir. My research focus is on the molecular and genetic basis of neurological disorders and Familial Hypercholesterolemia. This research includes 1) genetic screening and identification of mutant variants, 2) development of sensitive tests for prenatal and early diagnosis, and 3) development of effective therapeutic compounds through computational biology. My future goal is to establish a genetic testing laboratory to facilitate the remote and deprived population with an easy approach and affordable genetic screening for underlying genetic diseases.
